  This generally one of my "goto" spots when it comes to Chinese food in DFW that is authentic tasting. Been going to first chinese for 20 years. I generally get the beef flat noodles with black bean sauce, wonton soup, and either chicken or duck on the side. (Big appetite) All of these dishes are my favorite. Expect msg in the dishes. Dont expect service though, its an asian restaurant. Service is a hit or miss depending how busy the restaurant is.
  
  I have noticed that the dishes provide less meat and more fillers (veggies and noodles) over the years. To me it still tastes good, but just wish there was more meat on the dishes.
  
  All in all, I would still continue eating from here. The menu here is vast. I have yet to try out everything this place has to offer.

  Can't find anything bad to say about First Chinese BBQ. Came by for dinner with my family and had a great time. I was very surprise how big their menu was and everything was nicely priced. On this night we tried their barbecue pork (8.95$), Szechuan hot spicy chicken (8.75$), beef flat noodle (8.95$), Chinese mushroom hotpot (9.50$), shrimp wonton soup (6.95$), fried wontons (3.50$ for 6 pc) and everything tasted great. The serving size was generous and prices were just outstanding. The hotpot was the highlight of the night there were plenty of it. Despite it was a Saturday night and the place was busy, the food still came out relatively quickly and our waiter was super nice. Can't wait to come back and try their whole deep fried fish with peppers.

  My goto place for Chinese food! Always get the half duck half crispy pork combo. It's fantastic. Beef flat noodles, water spinach, and Chinese broccoli are some of my favorite dishes. My only complaint is everything (!!!!) has been really oily. Great and fast service.

  Yes, Yes, Yes. For aficionados of authentic great Chinese food this place is a winner. Far from fancy, this restaurant allows the food to do the talking. Located in a small and somewhat grungy Asian strip mall, First Chinese BBQ serves its purpose of providing real Chinese food for very reasonable prices. No, you don't get linen table cloths or cloying wait staff...just delicious food that may expand your horizons a bit from the bland Americanized versions of plates hardly recognizable as Chinese food. We got the combination roast duck and bbq pork with steamed rice. It was a lot of food for less than the price of 2 Whataburgers. Excellent, tender and juicy meats perfectly seasoned with a side dipping sauce for the duck. We loved it and will be back frequently. Give them a try
  
  Update: We now go regularly to get our Chinese food fix. Tonight we called in our order for take-out. It was ready when we arrived and hurried home to enjoy at leisure. I am always impressed with the top quality of their meats. The pork is lean and the beef tender. Tonight we got our standbys of roast duck and bbq pork and added marinated pork intestine. Each dish was succulent and delicious. It was a LOT of food. Large portions at very reasonable prices. It is, However, CASH ONLY.  Go enjoy some great food that is not Americanized. .......authentic.

  Great authentic Chinese food restaurant nestled in Haltom City. They also have other locations in Arlington, Richardson, Plano, and Garland.
  
  They have many delicious traditional Chinese dishes. They also have roasted pork and duck made and served fresh daily. All the dishes are so amazing and flavorful. The food comes out quickly and hot! Service is friendly and fast.
  
  Definitely recommend! I love going here to eat with my family and friends!
